Taking A Short Break

I’m going to have to take a short break from my blog as my vision is failing again; I have posterior vitreous detachment, and it’s going through one of its periodic flare-ups. I don’t want to do any permanent damage to my sight, and over the last couple of days using the computer has become increasingly problematic: I’ll be back as soon as I can, but meanwhile play nicely without me.

Take it very easy, treat yourself gently and eat quality food. Don’t let seasonal demands stress you out. I do hope the problem settles quickly.

Jane,Take good care! Will miss you. BIG fan of your blog. You keep me company when I hit walls during the day with my writing. Today I came over to put off tweaking my synopsis YET again. Do you like to do yoga? Don’t know if you are up for it, but it is something I find very good for the spirit and computer-fatigued body.Hope you feel better soon!

oh god, i was sent to a retinal specialist in october. shocking, isn’t it? mine is related to extreme myopia, but i found this journal article informative: http://bjo.bmj.com/content/88/2/161.extracthope your issue resolves, and maybe audio books as a diversion?ps. something that has helped me: computer glasses with an anti-glare coating, and polarized sunglasses. glassyeyes has great links for cheap/affordable spectacles.

Wow! I have that, too, and I was never told it could be that bad. Mine’s settled down at the bottom of my eye and hasn’t been messing with my vision for over a year now. I hope yours does, too.

Jane, I’m so sorry to hear about your affliction. I’m imagining you sitting by a window and listening to music that entertains and moves you. Maybe this respite will bring something unexpected. Be well.
